Our approach

Contractors carry out a large range of specialist work within WMC's operations. In 2004, contractors constituted 53% of hours worked across WMC. The management of the EHS aspects of contractors' work is covered by a standard within the WMC EHS Management System. At both corporate and site levels, a number of functional groups have a role to play in the management of contractors, from selection through to on-going management.
